Who knew that prepping for a collapse, digging deep underground, and building basic tools with simple recipes would spur a new chapter in Prepping culture?
When I started building a family, I considered it my responsibility to prepare for all our tomorrows. What would happen if everything we knew was wiped out? How quickly could we rebuild a life of abundance? What happens to my kids after I’m gone?
In 2009 it was hyperinflation and zombies that had captured my imagination, but as circumstances changed, we’ve witnessed global government shutdowns, widespread civil unrest, and in 2022 we started flirting with nuclear war.
A few years ago, inspired by the many legends of civilizing heroes, I decided that having a plan goes beyond mere survival. We have to know what the shortest steps are to build a functioning civilization, and do our best to get back to the lifestyle of peace and comfort we’ve been born into, for our children and beyond. Reboot Binder is my attempt to capture the shortest path to rebooting civilization, so that the human race may not just survive, but thrive.
